Bill McHale, Chief Executive Officer
Bill McHale has successfully led management teams of software companies in the United States and Europe for more than 15 years. In 2006, Bill joined Argo Global Capital, a venture capital company that specializes in telecoms, wireless, and internet technologies, where he served on the board of directors of SurfKitchen Inc., uReach Technologies Inc., PhyFlex Inc., and Sylantro Inc., as well as playing an advisory role in many other Argo investments.
From 2002 he was the CEO of Cerebrus Solutions, a telecoms software company based in the UK, until selling the company in 2005. From 1997 until 2002, Bill was the Chairman and CEO of DSET Corp., a telecoms software company that provided network management solutions globally to network operators and equipment providers. He led the company through a successful IPO on NASDAQ in 1998 and during his five years at DSET the company was recognized several times as one the fastest growing and most profitable software companies in its segment.
Prior to DSET, Bill spent seven years running early stage companies in the software sector. During the first half of his career he worked in sales and marketing positions at IBM, Wang Laboratories and Digital Equipment Corporation and was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
Tim Newbegin, Chief Financial Officer
Tim re-joined Actix in January 2013 and is responsible for all areas of finance, legal and administration within the Actix business. Tim joined the company from the Link Financial Group, a Venture Capital backed financial service company where he held the role of Group Finance Director.
A highly experienced finance professional, Tim honed his skills in a variety of finance positions including Group Financial Controller at Actix from 2005 - 2008. He also worked for Wolters Kluwer, a Dutch listed professional publishing company with responsibility for Group Financial Planning & Analysis, and PricewaterhouseCoopers in both the Audit and Valuation & Strategy departments which included 2 years overseas in the Netherlands. Tim is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (qualified in 1996).
Richard Kateley, Chief Technology Officer
Richard Kateley draws on over 20 years of wireless telecom and application development experience overseeing our products and technology. Previously, Richard co-founded Watchmark Corporation (now IBM Corp.) and served as EVP and CTO. At Watchmark, Richard led the invention of the Service Quality Management (SQM) segment for the wireless industry. Richard has also been a senior network executive at T-Mobile, Alcatel and Action Engine as well as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Chris Beukers, Senior Vice President, Global Customer Operations
Chris Beukers oversees global customer operations including sales, professional services and customer support for Actix, making use of over 20 years of experience in the wireless and IT industries. Chris began his career with Compaq Computer in Europe and later led sales and services operations for Centigram and Lotus/IBM across Asia Pacific. Most recently, Chris held executive roles in sales and marketing in a number of venture-backed wireless companies including @Motion (now Openwave), Valista (now AePONA) and QPass (now Amdocs).
Neil Coleman, Director of Global Marketing
Neil draws on over 12 years of industry experience serving in various marketing, product management and R&D roles at Actix, Micromuse and IBM.
Over the last 5 years Neil has been responsible for bringing Actix’s ground-breaking suite of mobile analytics and optimization solutions to market. These solutions are helping over 50 operators improve mobile customer experience and streamline their technology rollouts.
At Micromuse Neil was instrumental in the development of their service management product line. Starting from scratch it grew to account for over 30% of Micromuse revenues within 2 years. Subsequent to this he lead the creation of Micromuse’s traffic monitoring solution. At IBM Neil was responsible for IBM’s SLA management portfolio, helping establish IBM’s positioning in an emerging field.
René Pritchard, Director of Professional Services
René Pritchard is responsible for the professional services organization at Actix. René joined Actix in 2004 and has held a number of key positions in our R&D, professional services and support organisations. Leveraging his background in mission critical software development and service delivery, René has been responsible for many successful delivery implementations and their transition to operational excellence.
