Solution will speed up nationwide rollout of 4G LTE network whilst assuring network quality

Actix, a leader in mobile network analytics and optimization solutions announced that a tier-1 North American operator is deploying Actix’s Network Acceptance solution to support the rollout of their nationwide LTE network. The solution enables the operator to manage their ecosystem of network equipment providers more efficiently and ensure that the network is delivered on time and with the right quality from day one.

Actix’s Network Acceptance solution is being used to accurately validate network performance, detect and diagnose problems and ultimately confirm that performance acceptance criteria have been met by vendors prior to network sign-off.

Working with the operator, Actix developed a customized set of LTE acceptance reports based on their special requirements. Actix is uniquely placed to develop these reports due to twenty years’ experience of network measurement. The reports allow users to quickly generate a set of automated summary data, based on actual field measurements, which provide a complete list of acceptance KPIs along with their result (pass/fail). The reports also include a powerful set of maps and statistical histograms to help engineers quickly locate and resolve the source of performance issues.

The fully automated acceptance reports can be generated in less than 15 minutes, saving the engineer an estimated 6 hours of effort. In addition to time savings the operator will benefit from increased data accuracy and greater visibility into network performance ensuring better network quality.

“The acceptance report plays a vital role in managing the complex ecosystem of vendors that are responsible for the rollout of LTE networks. Actix’s ability to generate independent high fidelity reports on network quality means we play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of network rollouts” says Keith Reed Head of Actix’s Desktop Business Unit.
